34th North Luzon Area Business Conference set to boost regional growth in 2025

The 34th North Luzon Area Business Conference (NLABC) will take place on June 19-20, 2025, in Balanga City, Bataan, bringing together business leaders, government officials, and industry stakeholders to promote economic growth, innovation, and collaboration in North Luzon.

The two-day event, organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and hosted by PCCI Bataan, will address key economic trends and strategies to enhance business agility and competitiveness. PCCI Bataan President BJ Banzon told the Bataan media that the conference aims to drive sustainable development, encourage the adoption of new technologies, and strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Discussions will center on regional economic challenges, emerging business opportunities, and strategies for long-term growth. Attendees will have the chance to engage in knowledge-sharing sessions, panel discussions, and networking events, highlighting agility, innovation, and strategic development. The NLABC will gather a diverse set of participants, including entrepreneurs, business executives, government officials, investors, and industry experts.

Representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the Department of Tourism (DOT), and other key agencies will also be present.

Local city and provincial leaders, along with PCCI national and regional officers, will contribute insights on economic policies and investment prospects in North Luzon.

On Day 1 (June 19), the event will open with a trade fair and exhibit showcasing regional products and services in partnership with DTI, DOST, and DOT. A Chamber Development Workshop and Investour will follow, providing opportunities for local businesses to connect with potential investors. The day will conclude with a Governor’s Night and Welcome Dinner, where the Adopt-A-Chamber Award will be presented to recognize outstanding business initiatives.

Day 2 (June 20) will focus on the conference proper, featuring three thematic sessions: Agile, Innovative, and Soaring. Discussions under the Agile theme will explore economic trends, resilient infrastructure, and leadership succession planning, with alternative topics including strategic growth corridor development and World Bank business readiness reports. The Innovative session will highlight science and technology advancements, digital startups, and artificial intelligence applications for business competitiveness.

The Soaring session will showcase North Luzon success stories, scaling business models, and public-private partnership (PPP) projects in Bataan. Other topics will cover investment opportunities in the region, with insights from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). A closing plenary will summarize key takeaways, followed by the adoption of the 34th NLABC resolutions, a preview of the 51st Philippine Business Conference & Expo, and a Fellowship Night to cap the event.

The NLABC continues to be a significant platform for strengthening business resilience and economic development in North Luzon. By fostering collaboration and embracing innovation, the conference aims to equip regional businesses with the tools needed to navigate evolving market landscapes and achieve sustainable growth.
